Baahubali war sequence shoot begins:Tolly News

The big budget period drama ‘Baahubali’ has an epic war sequence that is expected to be a major highlight for the film. The production team has started filming this sequence in Ramoji Film City, with around 2000 junior artistes. Preparations for this sequence began a long time ago and filming is expected to go on until March. Peter Heins is choreographing the action sequences for the film.

Ace director S.S.Rajamouli is handling this film and Arka Media banner is the production house behind this mammoth project. Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Rana Daggubati will be seen in lead roles in this movie. Anushka and Tamanna will be seen as the heroines.

‘Baahubali’ is expected to hit the screens in 2015. Keeravani is composing the music and Senthil is handling the cinematography.

Dhoom 3 sets a new record:FIlm News

Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif starrer Dhoom 3 has turned out to be a box-office monster. The film had earlier set a new record for the biggest opening ever, that too on a non-holiday, by collecting a nett of Rs 36 crores and now, it has become the first film to join the Rs 100 crore club in just 3 days. In the past, Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3 had achieved this feat in four days.

Dhoom 3 is also doing extremely well in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Sources say that the film is going to set a new record among Hindi films that are dubbed in Telugu. As per the latest reports in Bollywood, Dhoom 3 has collected a net of Rs 107.61 crores in its opening weekend in India. Considering that the film reportedly released in nearly 4500 screens in India alone and the hype surrounding the film, it’s easy to see why the film has done such phenomenal business. However, what’s even more astonishing is that, the film has collected nearly Rs 63 crores in overseas markets.

Dhoom 3 became the first Indian film to break in to the top 10 grossing films in US this weekend. As per Taran Adarsh, a leading Bollywood trade analyst, the film has collected Rs 170.56 crores in its opening weekend. Vijay Krishna Acharya had directed the film and Aditya Chopra had produced it under Yash Raj Films banner. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra had also played lead roles in this action thriller.

Yevadu to benefit from low expectations?:Tolly News

On a number of occasions, movies that released with very high expectations ended up asdisappointments at the Box Office. The opposite has also happened many times. Films that released with next to no expectations went on to become big commercial hits.

Many trade analysts are wondering if something similar is going to happen in the case of Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s ‘Yevadu’. The movie’s release has been delayed by more than 6 months because of political issues in the state and this has dampened the expectations of fans and movie lovers. The very long gap between the audio launch and the theatrical release is not helping matters either.

Because the film is releasing as a Sankranthi offering, crowds will throng to the theatres on the first day. Distributors are confident that these crowds will lap up the film if it has even basic levels of entertainment. Ram Charan, Shruti Haasan and Amy Jackson will be seen as the lead actors in this movie. Vamsi Paidipally is the director and Dil Raju is the producer of this suspense thriller.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music while Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in cameo roles.

Attarintiki Daaredi : 75 Days Centers Count:Pawan kalyan

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s sensation “Attarintiki daredi” has successfully completed 75days run. The film has achieved this feat amongst 41 direct centres. The film coined the term “Industry hit” recently overtaking Magadheera’s Full run share. Though the movie is currently running on agreement basis, it has been long since we have witnessed 75days for a Telugu film with good amount of centres. The last film to do so was “Simha” in the year 2010, which ran to 100 days in almost 90+ direct centres collecting good shares even till 100days.So the theatre owners are willing to run the movie even with deficits. Pawan Kalyan's Annual Earnings Rs. 57 Crores:Pawan Kalyan

Forbes Magazine announced the top 100 celebrities of India, in terms of income, popularity and overall celebrity. In the list of 100 celebrities of India, Power Star Pawan Kalyan was named as the 13th in terms of earnings with Rs. 57 Crores, 26th place in the celebrity ranking and 79th in terms of popularity.

In the Telugu heroes, Mahesh Babu in the 54th position in celebrity ranking, 24th place in the earnings list with Rs. 28. 96 Crores and 84th in terms of overall popularity. He is followed by Nagarjuna (34th in the earnings list with Rs. 20 Crores, 61st in celebrity ranking and 75th in popularity ranking).

Ravi Teja is in the 68th spot in the celebrities list and Ram Charan is in the 69th place, their earnings being 13 and 12.6 Crores respectively in 54th and 55th positions and 73rd and 72nd ranks in terms of overall popularity.

In the Forbes '2013 Celebrity 100 List', the 'Fame Rank' has quite a few surprises for Tollywood. Despite of their better Celebrity Rank, and Money Rank, bigger stars like Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu are far behind their young competitor Ram Charan.

In terms having 'fame' across the nation and worldwide, Ram Charan stood at 72nd position. However, Tollywood's highest earner and currenty industry record holder Pawan Kalyan stands behind him at 79th place, while Mahesh is further back at 84th place. Surprisingly, Charan is immedialyte followed by Raviteja (73) and Sania Mirza (74) in terms of 'Fame Rank'. Also, senior hero Nagarjuna is also behind Charan at 75th rank. One wonders what made Ram Charan fetch so much fame even though other contenders in the list are somewhat senior and bigger than him.

Many say that Ram Charan's Bollywood entry with flop flick 'Zanjeer' has brought him so much attention. Also Charan's road side brawl involving his security guards catapulted him to headlines.
